Nantwich to Llangollen
From Nantwich, you need a week to fully appreciate this beautiful trip. Passing through 2 tunnels and 2 aqueducts and a good smattering of locks and bridges, it truly is the best that the northwest has to offer. Moor overnight at Llangollen Basin if you have time and enjoy the lovely town before starting on the return trip.

Nantwich to Chester
Ideal for 3 or 4 night breaks, the run up to Chester takes in around 11 locks each way so it makes for a lovely easy going trip. Moor up in the center of Chester for great shopping, culture and to enjoy the nightlife.

Nantwich to Ellesmere Port
After tackling the Northgate Locks, the run to Ellesmere Port is easy and it ends with a visit to the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. You'll ideally need a week for this trip although it can be done on a 4 night break.

Market Drayton
If locks are what you're looking for then this is the route for you. Taking in the Audlem Flight, the route passes through 22 locks each way with 15 in the flight alone. This can be done on a 3 night break but longer will allow you time to visit the famous Shroppie Fly pub and the lovely town of Market Drayton.
