  • “Martin made us feel so welcome and put us at ease very quickly with the Adele Marie. We spent 4 days heading from Nantwich to Whitchurch and still had plenty of time to spare for walks into the towns and places along the way. The kids age 10,8 and 5 loved every minute, were never bored and even put some of the lock keepers out of jobs!!! Wonderful time and wonderful memories. We are looking to do the whole llangollen canal next year.” - Dawn
  • “We just had our second weekend break on Martin's wonderful Adele Marie with our family and Dee, our dog.. It was great. The boat was very well fitted out, beds very comfy, and the boat ran perfectly. The canals were great, the locks were fun - and sociable. We found some nice waterside pubs. Nantwich is an ideal start point with lots of different directions to choose from. Martin was extremely helpful and professional in his briefings and even met us to help bring his boat back to the mooring. We would definitely recommend this experience and we look forward to our next trip on Adele Marie.”
  • “We have used floating dreams before and this was a return trip. The boat has all you need for a comfortable 12/14day break. The new sofa is a welcome addition following a day stood up and doing locks. Martin is helpful and friendly, explaining all you need to know before embarking on your holiday. We had a few electrical issues during our break but Martin was always on the end of the phone, and quickly arranged a marine engineer to meet us and rectify the problem. The customer service from this small company is outstanding and would teach many larger firms a thing or too in this regard. Would I use floating dreams again. Yes. There are still many routes to explore in this wonderful area of the UK.”
  • “We booked a 3 day trip on the Adele Marie, due to the short time we had booked for, Martin contacted us before hand and told us we could turn up early to get some extra time on board as no one had it booked before us . We all had a great time and even survived "Storm Doris". Got the log fire stoked and hatches battened down and enjoyed being in the warm during the storm! Found locks to be easier than expected and boat very easy to handle. Due to having to lay up during the storm and not able to make any progress, once again Martin got in touch and told us to not hurry back and have some extra time due to no booking after ours. Couldn't have asked for better hosts and look forward to booking again in the future.”
  • “'A fantastic boat hired to us by really great people, we were confident of support if required and the training/handover was excellent. The Llangollen Canal has a lot to offer, with both the fabulous wildlife and that chap Telford knew a thing or two! The aqueducts and tunnels did not disappoint. We had just the most relaxed and wonderful time.”
  • Overall my husband, myself, and our 8-year-old grandson enjoyed our first canal boat holiday on the Adele Marie. Martyn and Anne were very welcoming and the added extras like scones, jam, milk etc. were much appreciated. It was hard work at times at the locks and gates but others were happy to help. As there were just two adults on board, we did not make Llangollen and were conscious of the further we went the further we had to come back. As we had the boat for just one week getting to the Chirk Aqueduct was quite an achievement for beginners. Would we do it again? Yes.” – Anne W
  • “Our welcome from the owners was genuine and included a welcome pack with homemade scones and clotted cream! The narrowboat was extremely well fitted out, comfy beds, good-quality sheets and towels, excellent bathroom and kitchen equipment. We suggest that they provide a couple of folding chairs for sitting out on a lovely evening, otherwise everything we needed was there - including umbrellas! Technically the boat worked without a hitch.” – Sandy B
  • “We stayed aboard the Adele Marie with two teenagers and one dog. Before the holiday, communication with Martyn was great. He emailed us some very useful links to help plan the break. The welcome and instruction we received were excellent, there was an unexpected treat awaiting that was appreciated after travelling on Bank Holiday Monday. The boat had everything needed for a relaxing break including a full-size fridge and cooker. The teenagers handled the locks with no problem so they were well occupied then exhausted by 10 p.m. - unheard of at home! We took the time to travel to and visit Chester which we enjoyed. Overall we highly rate the hire of Adele Marie and look forward to booking another break soon.” – Justin F
  • “Narrow boats are a holiday in themselves. There is always lots to do on the boat with piloting, mooring, locks and pubs. It is a great way to spend a holiday in the outdoors but still with plenty of luxury. Adele Marie had all that you would want. Excellent galley, shower and toilet, comfortable beds, television and central heating as well as the chance to see the countryside at a slow pace and lots of interesting stuff on the way.” – Simon
